Thursday 30th October - walks ***** – Felixstowe sunrise prom and Old Hall Woods at Bentley – sunny with cloud late afternoon.

Walk 1 – Felixstowe sunrise prom.

After the usual early morning cough as the germs lingers we were awake so we headed down to Felixstowe prom at 6.20 to see the sunrise and it was a tad on the chilly side! Mag does this walk most mornings these days as we head towards The Fludyers and the sun appears at 6.52 so I stop and take a few pics. We turn and head for home through the Spa gardens and up the pram walk were I take a pic of the nice lamp with the sun behind and was lucky enough to get it on ITV’s About Anglia, got to love Chris Page, it’s been a good month for weather photos with 12 now! Home for the usual word games and to send my pics to the TV with the electric blanket on to warm up!

Walk 2 – Old Hall Wood near Bentley.

With the winds light and the sun out we decide to pack a picnic and drive over to Old Hall Wood near Bentley, we stopped at Tesco to fill up with diesel before heading to Bentley via the A 12 parking up at midday! This is a peaceful spot as walk across farmland to the woods, a combination of beech and pines, passing some large holly trees full of berries, we had already seen a kite near the Orwell Bridge we now spotted a couple of buzzards with some nosiy crows seeing them off! We enter the woods to find a blanket of broze beech leaves but the cetre of the woods being dark we take the path along the edge where the sunn shines on the fallen leacves, just lovely! Turning right into the pine woods and the smell was amazing, that certainly cleared your head. We did a large circuit od the wood enjoying the peace and quiet with loads of mushrooms amongst the leaves! We find a nice spot onn the edge of farmland for our picnic as the sun disappears behind the clouds. We then take a slightly longer route back to the van meaning we walked over 5 miles today!
Windy for a few days but tomorrow is Maeva day so perhaps I can get out on the water on Saturday the first day of November?

PS - I passed 10,000 pics sent into BBC weather watchers, sad I know:)
